Cassie And Lil' Rod's Attorneys Hope Diddy Gets Punishment He Deserves

Diddy has been on the hot seat for a few months now, but things got real this week when Homeland Security raided his Los Angeles and Miami homes. The attorneys for Cassie and Lil’ Rod, who recently brought lawsuits against him, hope that the mogul gets the punishment he deserves for what he has done to them and several other accusers.

“It’s about damn time,” Tyrone Blackburn, who represents Rod and Liza Gardner, told Rolling Stone. “Sometimes justice delayed is not justice denied, so long as justice ultimately arrives.”

Douglas Wigdor, who represents Cassie and one of the Jane Does who brought forth litigation against the Bad Boy founder, was also pleased with the actions taken. “We will always support law enforcement when it seeks to prosecute those that have violated the law,” he told DailyMail.com. “Hopefully, this is the beginning of a process that will hold Mr. Combs responsible for his depraved conduct.”

Diddy’s Los Angeles and Miami homes were raided on Monday (March 25). Homeland Security expert Hal Kempfer told Fox 11 that they searched his LA mansion for “laptops, flash drives, and anything that with connect Combs with the allegations” of sex trafficking brought against him. His sons Christian Combs and Justin Combs were reportedly home while the raid took place.

Diddy’s whereabouts quickly became a topic of discussion when people learned that he was in neither his Los Angeles nor Miami home. Later in the day, TMZ shared footage of the rapper at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport where federal agents stopped him. He can be seen pacing back and forth with his phone in hand.

The last few months have been a snowball of accusations and lawsuits thrown the “I Need A Girl” rapper’s way. Cassie was the catalyst, filing a lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend for rape and assault back in November. They went on to settle for an undisclosed amount, but several women came forth after the fact to tell their stories. One woman claimed that both he and former Bad Boy President Harve Pierre raped her in 2003 when she was just a teenager.

Lil’ Rod, real name Rodney Jones Jr., filed a lawsuit against Diddy toward the end of February. He claimed he was sexually assaulted, revealing that he lived and worked with him for almost over a year and recorded several hours of footage showing Puff and his associates “engaging in serious illegal activity.” He also claimed that he was touched inappropriately and even forced to work in the bathroom while the mogul was in the shower.

Diddy shared a statement back in December denying all accusations against him. “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH,” he wrote on Instagram. “FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS, I HAVE SAT SILENTLY AND WATCHED PEOPLE TRY TO ASSASSINATE MY CHARACTER, DESTROY MY REPUTATION AND MY LEGACY. SICKENING ACCUSATIONS HAVE BEEN MADE AGAINST ME BY INDIVIDUALS LOOKING FOR A QUICK PAYDAY.”

He finished by saying he was willing to fight for his name, family, and what he believed to be the truth.
