Unlikely Duo Ed Sheeran And Sarah Michelle Gellar Rumored To Make Collab

Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar is known for starring in several cult films and television credits, including her hit show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran is known to be a fan of the show, and has used that show as an inspiration for multiple songs of his.

The "Shape of You" artist has also recently credited his "Bad Habits" music video to the television classic. With a face full of glittery makeup, Sheeran rocks a hot pink tux, while wearing vampire fangs. It shows everyone in the music video to be whimsical, and like Sheeran, wearing vampire fangs.

The music video has since garnered almost 250 million views on YouTube. Outside of Buffy, the video has also been compared to Michael Jackson's "Thriller" music video on several occasions.

Following the news, Gellar began to discuss the video in her own words, and hoping to participate next time around! “I interrupt my vacation to bring you some @teddysphotos – but next time instead of being inspired by, just put me in your video…please…thank you. #edsheeran.”

Sheeran himself was thrilled for her comment, and responded to her right away. “If you’re serious we have to make that happen. Thank you so much for the video message too, I’m sure a huge fan. My song Afire Love samples remembering Jenny from season 2, proper fanboy over here x.”

Gellar's co-star Michelle Trachtenberg also voiced her opinion on the show, even asking the singer how he felt about her character (Dawn). She wrote, “But the real challenge is did he hate Dawn? @sarahmgellar … How do I audio audition for this?”

From Different Worlds, Sarah And Ed Meet

The stars were able to meet in person during 102.7 KIIS FM's Jingle Ball 2021 in Los Angeles on Dec. 3. Although Sheeran was not able to get a photo of the two, Gellar happily posted one on her Instagram account, captioning it "#jingleball with this guy." The star attended the show with multiple friends, and took videos of other performances for her Instagram Story. However, she stated in her story that Sheeran was the reason she attended the show.

Their exchange has led to fans wondering whether or not the two will ever collaborate on another music video. The artist has not discussed any other videos that may be released to support his album, but he is preparing for his 2022 +–=÷x Tour. Will Gellar make an appearance on stage during "Bad Habits"? Will she be in the audience cheering him on at a show? Fans will just have to wait and see.
